Reducing Tariffs for the Rav-Kav

Following a change in the price index, as of February 1st there will be a reduction of up to 2.15% in public transportation tariffs.

As part of the change, the price of daily, weekly and monthly contracts will be updated, as well as single-ride tariffs that are validated when using stored value.

All prices are now rounded to the nearest half-shekel. For example, a daily pass that used to cost 13.5₪ will now cost 13.0₪, and a single ride that used to cost 5.90₪ will cost 6.00₪.

How to Get the Reduced Tariffs for My Rav-Kav Card?

The new tariffs will be updated on the Rav-Kav Online website and in the Rav-Kav Online mobile app for iPhone and Android towards the end of January.

You can also load the contracts with the reduced rates at Rav-Kav Online charging stations at kiosks, ATMs, retail and pharma chains all over the country, and pay by credit or cash.

You can also order a personal Rav-Kav card, including eligibility for special profiles on the website, and receive the card a few days later via Israel Post.

Changing the Eligibility Age for a Senior Citizen Profile

In accordance with Ministry of Transportation guidelines, the age of eligibility for a senior citizen profile which grants a 50% discount on public transport will be updated as follows:

  • Men are eligible from the age of 67
  • Women are eligible from the age of 62

Passengers that already have senior citizen profiles updated on their Rav-Kav card will continue to receive the profile discount even if they do not yet meet the new criteria.
